Defender Z is poised to become a significant figure in both the breeding and top-level sport of show jumping, embodying the qualities of a modern sport horse in terms of conformation, jumping style, canter, and pedigree.
His sire, Dominator 2000 Z, has exceeded expectations under the ride of Christian Ahlmann, securing multiple victories at the highest level of competition.
Recognizing the importance of the mare line in assessing the quality of a stallion, Defender Z boasts an exceptional maternal lineage. His dam, Atureusa S, a 1.40m-level jumper, is a granddaughter of the legendary Heartbreaker through the influential sire Padinus. Further back, the pedigree includes
renowned stallions such as Calvados, Le Mexico, and Lucky Boy xx. Atureusa’s exceptional quality is evident in her being the half-sister to the approved stallion Etoulon VDL, who competes at the 1.50m level, and Dereusa S, a 1.60 m-level jumper. The direct mare line includes numerous international
show jumpers.

During the performance test, Defender Z received acclaim for his jumping ability, canter, temperament, and intelligence. Under the rider Marco Sas, he is currently competing at the 1.35m level, impressing audiences at events like the World Young Horse Jumping Championships in Lanaken
and the KWPN Stallion Competition.

Defender Z’s initial offspring are notable for their quality, size, and impressive canter. In free jumping, they display significant power, athletic ability, and technical prowess. Two Defenders were selected for the second round during the KWPN Stallion Inspection ’23-’24.
