Tomatillo est un \u00e9talon Anglo-Arabe n\u00e9 en 2013, clone g\u00e9n\u00e9tique du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre cheval de concours complet Tamarillo.
\nhorse Tamarillo, who was a key member of the British team for many years, ridden by
\nWilliam Fox-Pitt. Tamarillo won both Badminton and Burghley, and when his performance
\ncareer ended, plans were made to preserve his exceptional athleticism and talents through
\ncloning. As a gelding, Tamarillo could not sire offspring, so Tomatillo was produced to
\ncontinue his legacy.<\/p>\n

Tomatillo has since developed his own competitive career, progressing to Four Star level
\nunder Aaron Millar. He has accumulated 64 British Eventing points and has competed at
\nAdvanced level, achieving impressive results, including a double clear and an 8th place finish
\nat Ballendenisk, as well as a clear round at Little Downham. Tomatillo continues to show
\ngreat promise in the eventing world and has sired excellent foals, with the oldest now
\nentering competition age. His movement, which reflects Tamarillo\u2019s family traits, is light
\nwith a big stride and natural cadence, making him a valuable asset in breeding.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

While Tomatillo shares many similarities with Tamarillo, there are notable differences, such
\nas size and behavior. As a stallion, Tomatillo has male hormones circulating, which can
\ninfluence behavior and increase muscle mass, but he is slightly smaller than Tamarillo due to
\nthe effects of castration on body size in mammals.<\/p>\n

Tamarillo\u2019s sire, Tarnik, was a Polish Anglo Arab with three-quarters Thoroughbred and
\nsome Arab and Shagya blood, known for his toughness and capability, including winning the
\nArab Horse Society Marathon. Tamarillo\u2019s dam, Mellita, was an Anglo Arab by the legendary
\neventing sire Master Spiritus. Tomatillo offers one of the best opportunities to access Master
\nSpiritus\u2019 bloodline, as his frozen semen was never available before his passing.<\/p>\n

Initially covering naturally, Tomatillo is now restricted to frozen semen while his competition
